The Dura-Ace R9100 series of Flat Mount disc brakes bring powerfully integrated brake performance to the highest

Dual Control Lever

DCL stands for Dual Control Lever. It has brake and shifting functions in the system and enables easy operation.

Ergonomic innovation is probably more critical to the higher standard performance than the added gearing. The shift
internals borrow the robustness from our MTB technology and are so smooth and effortless that one finger shifts
front and rear are possible. Indeed, shifting is the ultimate act of Shimano Total Integration, and simply has
to be experienced to be understood.

The Dura-Ace / Ultegra / 105 Dual Control Lever have an optimized structure with features that include the lighter
weight pivot section in the near side of the shifting unit and the integral shifting cable for lighter steering.
Its
many component parts are made so compact and precise to achieve unprecedented high-speed performance.

Servowave Action

When you pull a Servowave brake lever, initial pad travel is fast, so little lever movement is needed to bring the
pads into contact with the rotor. The power multiplication factor then increases rapidly at the pad-to-rim
contact
so more of the lever stroke is used to apply greater braking power with improved control.

Reach Adjust

Brake lever is equipped with a reach adjust mechanism. The distance from handlebar grip to lever can be adjusted to
suit any hand size, type of riding and individual rider preferences.

SP41

With OT-SP41 the entire length of the outer casing is pre-lubricated with a special silicone grease for quick and
precise shifting performance. OT-SP41 maximally reduces the inner cable friction to provide quick response to
operations and easy/effortless shifting. Moreover, power loss due to delay in shifting and fatigue by shifting
especially when you ride on the terrain with many ups and downs as well as a long distance is also reduced.

One Way Bleeding

“One Way Bleeding” was developed for quick and easy prevention of air in our hydraulic system. We have streamlined
the oil route throughout the system to prevent air bubbles from being captured in the system.

One way oil routing plus a funnel tool with mineral oil provides an easy and clean bleeding system.

Ice Technologies Freeza

Ice Technologies combined with Freeza disc brake rotor construction rapidly dissipates heat for more consistent
braking performance in extreme conditions, longer pad life, and less brake fade and noise.

• Lightweight clad rotors with heat dissipating paint on exposed aluminum layer segments provide superior
  cooling, consistent brake performance, and lighter operation under all conditions
• Clad brake pads with Aluminum/Stainless fins support rapid heat dissipation which helps reduce maintenance,
  provide longer pad life, and create less brake fade and noise

Ice Technologies and Freeza provide consistent braking performance with longer pad life, less brake fade and noise.

The lightweight and highly efficient three-layer sandwich structure of stainless steel–aluminum–stainless steel
enhances heat dissipation.
